The distance between the experience of a journey and its representation constitutes the central point of Diego Armín's practice.
Through installations, interventions and actions in the territory, he constructs situations in which maps, routes and algorithms come into contact with the landscape, bodies, movement and the animal.
In them, Armin explores the relationships between calculation and accident, the intellectualization and materiality of the world, mathematics and the reality they represent.
Born in A Coruña but raised in Valencia, summers in Portosín and the bond with his grandfather became a space of exploration, freedom, unconditional love and play.
Alongside his grandfather, Armín learned to read the tides and maps of the estuary, to draw in the sand, and to play chess. This shaped a way of observing and relating to the land that continues to influence his practice to this day.
His educational background includes acting studies at the Corazza Studio for Actors and experiences related to drawing, contemporary dance, Gestalt therapy and the SAT process of Claudio Naranjo.
She is a member of the NADIE Company, with which she carried out two artistic residencies in Sa Talaia (Mallorca) and won first prize at the S'Illò festival.
The creative experience with the company, along with the artistic residencies, proved decisive in articulating these learnings into an interdisciplinary artistic practice of my own.
A life crisis in Berlin in 2022 marked a turning point; the fall of the intellectual class in the face of the life/death drive, from which emerges the core of his current body of work, using the Knight's Tour as a central axis.
This project begins a new stage in its trajectory, which is consolidated with the activation of the first Knight's Tour in Portosín in June 2026 and with the opening of its studio in A Coruña in September 2026, from where it continues to develop its research.
Currently, pieces of her work are part of private collections in various parts of Europe, including the Netherlands, Spain, and France. Through her artistic and relational practice, she also develops training programs in creative processes for organizations such as Novartis and
BBVA, in collaboration with Bével, also provides individual support and advice.
